Pavel Baleff

In the 2006/2007 season, Pavel Baleff was named Chief Conductor of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic. In 2010, he was awarded the title of Bulgarian Conductor of the Year. Between 2010 and 2012, he conducted the productions of Wagner’s Rheingold, Die Walküre and Siegfried at the National Opera Sofia. He also conducted numerous outstanding orchestras. His recording of “Slavic Opera Arias” with Krassimira Stoyanova and the Munich Radio Orchestra for the label Orfeo won him the German Record Critics’ Award (Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik) in 2011, the annual Recording Prize in 2012 as well as the “international Classical Music Award 2012”.
