Prof. Dr. Peter Steinbach

Born in 1948, Peter Steinbach received his undergraduate degree in 1972, followed by a PhD in 1973. After having earned his habilitation in modern history and political sciences in 1978, he worked, from 1982 to 1992, as professor for historical and theoretical principles of political sciences at the University of Passau,swiss replica watches from 1992 to 2001, he taught historical principles of politics at the Freie Universität Berlin. From 2001 to 2007, he was professor for modern and recent history at the University of Karlsruhe, from 2007 to 2014 professor for modern and recent history at the University of Mannheim. In 1983, Peter Steinbach was appointed scientific director of the German Resistance Memorial in Berlin, in 2001 he became board member of the international Topography of Terror Foundation. From 2004 to 2007, he officiated as commissarial scientific director for the Foundation. Peter Steinbach is chairman of the advisory council of the Baden-Baden Museum and, since 2014, chairman of the supporter’s circle of the House of Baden-Württemberg History in Stuttgart.
