Videoformes
Created in 1984, Videoformes is an association that can be defined as a permanent observatory of video evolutions and of digitals cultures in contemporary art. It is a space of presentation, of meetings and of reflection for artists, professionals and public.
For 29 years, Videoformes presents her eponym festival that takes place each year in Clermont-Ferrand. It is an international festival of digital arts where there are installations, videos, performances, interdisciplinary digital, virtual and interactive creations and a series of conferences. This event is internationally renowned on contemporary video art and on digital cultures. Permanent Observatory of links between creation and digital technologies, Videoformes is a discoverer of talents.
The association proposes artists in residence, a quarterly journal (Turbulence Video), a program of vidéobars (experimental multidisciplinary performances) in different places of Clermont-Ferrand, a series of video portraits of artists, and collaborative operations.
The association is engaged in the development of a Digital Archives collection, and is also a founding member of 24-25.fr and a member of the Digital Arts Network RAN.
